Chris Edward Panis

Chris used to weigh a quarter of a thousand pounds. It was in 2008 when he realized that taking care of his body really matters. It was the death of his father that awakened him to do something about his health. Immediately after what happened to his Dad, Chris decided to take a healthier path. He started working out and got addicted to a lot of movement activities such as Dancing, Running, Cycling, Weight lifting and Yoga. Chris’ first experience on the yoga mat was not  necessarily enjoyable. He struggled on his first downward dogs and tree poses but he took it as an opportunity to become even better. A few years passed and Yoga became his favourite activity. Chris eventually took his first yoga-inspired teaching program which is Les Mills BodyBalance. In 2011, he eventually took his 200-hr Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training from the American Yoga School under the tutelage of James Brown, Maria Villela and Joseph Clarke. Chris continues to grow his passion for functional movement as he is also a certified Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor under Balanced Body. He got certified to teach Yin Yoga as well when he took the training from Victor Chng last 2014. Chris’ love for yoga is still expanding, he has taken classes and workshops from world-class instructors such as Annie Carpenter, Jason Crandell, Noah Maze, Giselle Mari, David Swenson, Dice Iida-Klein, among others. Currently, Chris is the pioneer Elite Les Mills BodyBalance instructor based in the Philippines.

Chris tries to share his knowledge and love of yoga through his Vinyasa and Power Yoga classes. Expect his classes to be fun, challenging and carefully sequenced so that all types of students get to enjoy the beautiful practice that is Yoga.
